Paul has worked in the financial services industry for over 20 years and has extensive experience in investment markets, technology, retail banking, risk management and insurance. 

Paul is the former Managing Director of CommSec, Australia’s leading online broker and former Managing Director of Colonial Mutual Life Assurance Society Ltd. Paul has also held a number of CFO and governance positions across large financial services businesses. Prior to financial services, Paul held senior roles in Chartered Accounting and Consulting firms specialising in corporate advisory and strategy.  

Paul holds a Commerce degree and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Rory has worked in the Australian and global equity markets for nearly 30 years. Whilst having worked in a variety of roles, his specialty is in trade execution as well as portfolio construction and risk management.

Rory has had previous roles with Rothschild Australia Asset Management in managing a fund of funds. His specific responsibility was to source and vet potential managers as well as to determine the allocation of capital between them and manage the consolidated risk of the portfolio.

In 2006, Rory took up a senior Equity Facilitation role at UBS Australia. As part of this role, he oversaw the management of a high conviction portfolio of UBS Equity Research ideas known as Alpha Preferences. He was responsible for portfolio execution, re-weighting and all aspects of the portfolio trading strategy. More recently, Rory has held trading and execution roles at Commonwealth Bank of Australia, prior to their exit from the institutional equities business.

Maggie joined Hearts and Minds Investments (HM1) as Head of Marketing and Operations as the fund was listed on the ASX. She now manages the fund's operations and directs the fund’s marketing strategy, working closely with the Board, Investment Committee, management team and beneficiaries. Maggie is also part of the core team that delivers the annual Sohn Hearts & Minds Investment Leaders Conference.

An alumni of the UBS cadetship program, whilst studying she spent five years full time at UBS in various roles across Asset Management, Corporate Actions, Wealth Management, Corporate Communications, Events and Marketing.

She graduated from Macquarie University with a combined degree in Business Leadership and Commerce with majors in International Business and Human Resource Management. In this time, she completed two international exchanges, in Sweden and in China.
